Hours after Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader JC Diwakar Reddy refused to attend the no-confidence debate in Lok Sabha, sources have said that Reddy will arrive in the national capital tonight to attend the Parliament session on tomorrow.
As per sources, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu spoke to Reddy after the latter refused to attend Parliament session on Friday.
Soon after, the source revealed that Reddy agreed to be present in Lok Sabha on Friday.
While giving a nod to the no-confidence motion, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan on Wednesday had said that the discussion would be followed by voting on Friday.
However, the TDP MP from Anantapur constituency had said that he would not attend the Friday session as he was "fed up" of his party and the Centre.
"I am not going to attend the Parliament session. You can say that I violated the party whip instructions. I am fed up with Centre and our TDP government. And I am fed up with the whole political system. Right now I am in my native place in Anantapur and will come in front of the media with my logic within a week," Reddy told ANI.
On a related note, this is the first time that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government will face such a motion.
