Beating all odds, a tea seller's sons in Jalandhar, Punjab have cleared the prestigious IIT-JEE exam. Brothers Amit and Sumit Kumar secured positions 209 and 2014, respectively, in the prestigious exam.

Sumit Kumar told ANI, "We have been studying hard for very long. A few days before the exam, our father suffered an accident. So we had to help in managing the tea shop. That's why we couldn't prepare very well for the paper. But now, our biggest challenge is to collect enough money to secure our admissions. Both of us need Rs 80,000 in total to secure admission."

Sumit's elder brother Amit Kumar too said, "I want to follow in the footsteps of Narendra Modi, who became our Prime Minister after he started as a tea seller. We too would like to serve the country."

The two boys had cleared the exam last year as well but were unable to take admission because they didn't have enough money to pay their fee.
