Teenaged South Korea-born New Zealand golfer Lydia Ko, who recently turned professional, has reportedly been granted her waiver to play on the Ladies PGA tour from next year.

Ko, who has won twice on the LPGA and won two other professional tournaments as an amateur, will play in next month's Titleholders' at the Tiburon Golf Club in Florida in her first game as a professional.

According to Stuff.co.nz, Ko said that she is 'super excited' about playing in the LPGA Tour, adding that she could not play on the Tour last year due to her exams.

However, Ko admitted that she is not sure about how many tournaments she would play in the Tour because the schedule for 2014 is not out yet.
