New Real Madrid player Gareth Bale has reportedly celebrated his first goal for the Spanish giants in his debut match with his favourite dish, a prawn cocktail, instead of champagne.
Bale, who has moved to Real in a world-record transfer deal of 86 million pounds from Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur, is a non-drinker, although family and friends revealed that the Welsh star's biggest indulgence is a prawn cocktail.
According to the Daily Star, a friend of the midfielder said that the only time Bale drinks from a wine glass is when it contains a prawn cocktail.
Meanwhile, the report added that Bale's parents Debbie and Frank watched his debut Madrid match against Villareal from their home in Cardiff as they could not get any direct flights to Spain, adding that his girlfriend Emma Rhys-Jones also watched the match at home in south Wales.
