Demanding an answer on the corruption charges levelled against Rajendra Kumar, Principal Secretary to Delhi Chief Minister, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday alleged that "telling lies and covering up corruption is the double face of Arvind Kejriwal".
"Chief Minister Kejriwal must give an answer to the corruption charges. This corruption has been going on for the last 7-8 years. Kejriwal should answer who are the people involved in this corruption. Telling lies and covering up corruption is the double face of Kejriwal," BJP leader Satish Upadhyay told ANI.
Upadhyay urged the Delhi Government to work for the people and stop corruption.
"The Delhi Government must understand the Constitution. You won't abide by the Constitution and talk bad about persons sitting at higher constitutional positions.you won't even spare the Prime Minister.and then you will say you are being paralysed," he added.
Resonating similar sentiments, another BJP leader R.P. Singh demanded Kejriwal's resignation, accusing him of being involved in corruption.
"Rajendra Kumar was a corrupt officer and there were cases against him. Now, the truth has been proved. I am accusing Kejriwal that he has been using the corrupt officers as conduced for his fresh deals. I am naming two.Indra Kumar and Keshav Kumar," he added.
The Central Bureau of investigation (CBI) earlier today arrested Rajendra Kumar and four others in a corruption case.
