Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) national secretary and co-observer for Bengal Siddharth Nath Singh on Monday said the terror activities in the West Bengal have escalated under Trinamool Congress led Mamata Banerjee Government adding that such a situation is dangerous for the development of the state.
"Terrorist activities have been growing under Mamata Banerjee and TMC. Earlier, we saw Garden Reach and again it was TMC councillor and their family members involved in 2012. Most shocking which has come is Trinamool Congress youth leaders who have been involved in Pakistani ISI agency," Singh told the media here.
"It is too dangerous that a state like West Bengal become a terror haven," Singh added.
The Special Task Force of Kolkata Police on Sunday arrested three suspected ISI agents-Irshad Ansari, Ashfaque Ansari and Md. Jahangir. They have been remanded into 14 days police custody by a Kolkata court here. In total, two espionage rackets were busted last week with arrests of five people from Jammu and Kolkata.
