At least two people were killed and 48 others injured when a car exploded in front of the headquarters of Toor city in southern Egypt's Sinai.
Ambulances rushed to the scene, and efforts were made to extinguish the escalating fires.
Source said that the front wall of the building was totally damaged and four stories of the building collapsed in the massive explosion.
The death toll was likely to rise as rescue workers and residents searching for victims under the rubble.
