Texas Instruments India is organising the 12th edition of its prestigious Science and Technology Quiz 2015 here at Shri Satya Sai International Center on November 19.
In its 12th year, Texas Instruments (TI) hosts this quiz nationally for students from class 8, 9 and 10, with the aim to nurture India's future generations through the spirit of inquiry and innovation - the cornerstone of science and technology.
This year the quiz includes two new cities within the fold of the competition and will be held across seven cities - Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Lucknow, leading to a finale in Bangalore.
Timing is an important factor for reaching out to students when they are at the cusp of making important academic choices. This quiz provides a platform to these bright and young students to help them develop an innovative mindset by exploring STEM as a course of life.
Hitherto known as the Jack Kilby Quiz, it was first launched in 2003 as an endeavor to create opportunities for young talent and promote education in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in India.
President and Managing Director of Texas Instruments India, Santhosh Kumar, said that aim of organising such an event is to encourage adoption of a multi-dimensional approach to learning.
"This quiz marks TI's commitment towards cultivating a spirit of curiosity and innovation amongst school children, whom we look at as future technology pioneers and who will contribute to the development of the country as a knowledge economy," he said.
