Denzel Washington's 'The Equalizer' has topped the North American weekend box office with 32.5 million dollars, it has been reported.
It knocked down the Fox production's science-fiction the 'Maze Runner' to second place, as the film raked in 17.5 million dollars in its second weekend, News24.com.
Meanwhile The Boxtrolls, an animated film about an orphaned human boy who was raised underground by friendly monsters, came in third with 17.3 million dollars, according to box office tracker Exhibitor Relations.
Whereas, comedy-drama 'This Is Where I Leave You,' landed on fourth position in its second week out, by taking in 7 million dollars, followed by Dolphin Tale 2 at the fifth place, which earned 4.8 million dollars.
