After five rounds and thousands upon thousands of votes, the fans chose Simba and friends over 'The Little Mermaid,' winning by less than 1,000 clicks on internet, getting 54 percent of the votes, E! Online reported.
The film also beat the likes of 'Toy Story' and classic 'Beauty and the Beast' to claim the title.
