Universal Pictures just dropped the first extended look at 'The Mummy' reboot, and with it, a whole new world of gods and monsters.
The studio took to its social media handle to release the full action-packed trailer, captioned "She is real", featuring star Tom Cruise in Ancient Egypt.
The reboot portrays an ancient princess (Sofia Boutella), who is awakened from her crypt beneath the desert, and brings malevolence and great terrors that endanger modern-day people.
"Please meet Princess Ahmanet," tells Russell Crowe's character in the trailer, as the princess wreaks havoc over London.
"She will claim what she has been denied," he declares.
Cruise even comes back to life suddenly after dying in a plane crash, perhaps to finish an impossible mission.
The previous 'Mummy' franchise spanned four movies released between 1999 and 2008. They famously starred Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weiz, and the remaining cast which will not be returning for the new film.
Also starring Courtney B. Vance, Annabelle Wallis, and Jake Johnson, the Alex Kurtzman directed flick will hit theaters in June next year.
