Amidst uproar for the third consecutive day over former IPL chief Lalit Modi episode and Vyapam scam, both Houses of the Parliament have been adjourned for the day.
On the third of Monsoon Session, both the Houses witnessed brief adjournments over the issues.
In the Lok Sabha, several opposition members including Mallikarjun Kharge had given notices for suspension of the Question Hour to take up the issues. However, Speaker Sumitra Majahan rejected the notices.

The Rajya Sabha also witnessed two adjournments in the pre-lunch session amid uproar over the Lalit Modi episode with the opposition Congress continuously pressing for the resignation of the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.
As the House re-assembled at noon after its first adjournment, Chairman Mohammed Hamid Ansari wanted to take up question hour but the opposition refused to yield.
As the noisy scenes continued, Vice President Ansari had adjourned the House till 2 p.m., before adjourning it for the day.
