Travel firm Thomas Cook has said its yearly profits will be hit by about 25 million dollars due to the recent events in Tunisia and Greece.

According to the BBC, bookings for the July to September quarter had been affected by last month's attack on a tourist beach in Tunisia, when 38 holidaymakers were killed including 30 Britons.

Worries over Greece's possible exit from the eurozone had also hit trading.

The firm further said that the strength of the pound against the euro was likely to affect earnings including the costs of cancelled trips and repatriating customers to the United Kingdom, as well as changing routes to alternative destinations.
