At least three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were injured in a naxal attack in the Daltonganj area of Jharkhand on Monday.
According to preliminary reports, the three injured personnel belonged to the Jharkhand-based Jaguar Commandoes.
They were attacked by naxals in the Pipardhaba area of Daltonganj of Jharkhand.
One MI-17 has been launched from Ranchi to bring the injured CRPF personnel back from the encounter spot. Further details are awaited.
The Jharkhand incident was reported shortly after 26 CRPF personnel were killed in a separate encounter in neighbouring Chhattisgarh state by naxals while being involved in road construction and clearing activity in Sukma district.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh is on his way to Raipur to preside over an emergency meeting of officials to determine counter-strategies and a review of the law and order situation in the state.

The incident in Chhattisgarh has been widely condemened by the political leadership, irrespective of party affiliation. Minister of State for Home Hansraj Ahir is heading to Raipur tomorrow to pay his respects to the dead CRPF soldiers and review the overall security situation with the state government.
The Centre is also monitoring the developments post the tragic incident with Chief Minister Raman Singh.
