The sixth meeting of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) ministers of home, SAARC secretaries of home, and SAARC immigration authorities is scheduled to be held in Kathmandu on Wednesday.
The three-day meet will begin with meetings of the immigration authorities on September 17, followed by the secretaries of home on September 18 and finally the ministers of home will meet on September 19.
Issues like suppression of terrorism, maritime security and piracy, narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, combating corruption, cyber crimes, mutual assistance in criminal matters, trafficking of women and children and promotion of child welfare in South Asia are likely to be discussed in the meet.
The fifth Meeting of the SAARC secretaries of home was held at the Maldives in September 2012.
