Three Border Security Force personnel, who were injured in firing at the International Border in R S Pura, have been shifted to the government hospital in Jammu, where they are being treated for their injuries.
The jawans told media persons that Pakistan is firing indiscriminately, and added that the BSF has been giving them a befitting reply. They insisted that they will fight again after they are discharged from hospital.
The Jammu hospital, meanwhile, has made special arrangements to treat the injured. A new trauma ward has been set up, said the hospital's medical superintendent.
At least nine civilians who sustained splinter injuries from mortar shells in Bishnah, R S Pura and Kanachak border areas of Jammu were also brought to the hospital for treatment.
Firing by Pakistani troops last night affected almost the whole stretch of the International Border, including areas such as Samba, Hiranagar, Ramgarh, Arnia, RS Pura, Kanachak and Pargwal.
Indian troops gave a befitting reply to the unprovoked firing from across the border.
