President of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Balochistan, Mir Madad Ali Jattak has warned that his party will block highways linking the province with the rest of the country if three 'missing' close aides to party co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari were not produced in court within 24 hours.
Condemning the 'disappearance' of the three PPP leaders, Jattak held Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan responsible for it and further argued that if somebody was involved in any case, he must be produced in a court of law, reports Dawn.
"Forcible disappearance of three close aides to Asif Ali Zardari was an attempt to pressurise the PPP leadership not to talk against corruption of rulers of Islamabad and Lahore," Jattak said in a press conference.
"We respect courts and can never even think of attacking them," he added.
Jattak demanded that Nawab Leghari, Mir Ghulam Qadir Marri and Ashfaq Leghari- the missing leaders be produced in court immediately.
"We will block all highways linking Balochistan with the rest of the country if they were not produced in court within 24 hours," he threatened.
