A three-year-old boy, Ali Shair, is in a critical state after being set ablaze by a 16-year-old boy, his neighbor, for not giving him way to pass by on his bike in Hyderabad's Kala Pathar.
Ali's father Mohammed Rahim, an auto rickshaw driver, has lodged a complaint and a case under Section 285 of Indian Penal Code (Negligent conduct with respect to fire or combustible matter) has been registered.
As per parents, Ali was playing in front of his house along with some other kids, when his neighbor, the 15-year-old boy, came there on his bike and shouted at them to move away.
"The child could not understand and did not move, when his neighbor shouted at him. When Ali did not move, he took petrol out from his bike, poured it on him and set him ablaze," said Rahim.
The incident took place earlier on Monday.
Other kids raised an alarm and Ali was rushed to Osmania hospital with burns on his neck, head, back and shoulders.
Mohammed Ali Shair is the youngest child of the four children of Rahim.
