American golf superstar Tiger Woods' skier girlfriend Lindsey Vonn suffered a minor elbow injury during her failed run at the World Cup Super-G Race in France on Sunday after falling about 45 seconds into her session.
Vonn, who started her race out strongly, ultimately ended up in the snow after clipping a gate, as she slid down the mountain for 10 seconds before finally coming to a halt when ski patrol helped her remove her skis.
Vonn, who has been Woods' girlfriend for more than a year, was fortunately OK and was able to walk off on her own two feet, suffering only a minor elbow injury which she described as just a bruise, E! Online reported.
The American skiing sensation claimed that the snow was kind of breaking up, adding that she hit some soft stuff and was not able to make the gate. She said that that happens sometimes in Super-G.
Vonn claimed that it is difficult to gauge how fast one is going to be going in some sections.
She described her injury as a minor bruise, claiming that her knees are fine, and that is the most important thing.
