World number one Tiger Woods has reportedly topped Golf Digest 50's income list for 2013 for the 11th time in its 11-year history with 1.3 billion US dollars in career earnings, with Australian Adam Scott coming in eighth.

The 14-time major champion has accumulated 83 million US dollars, including an estimated 71 million US dollars off its course and more than 12 million US dollars in prize money.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Golf Digest magazine said that Woods' winnings of more than 155 million US dollars reflect less than 12 per cent of his career earnings, with 1.16 billion US dollars coming from endorsements since his pro debut in 1996, a figure that continues to increase even after his infamous sex scandal and ensuing divorce.

The report mentioned that second on the Golf Digest list is Woods' compatriot Phil Mickelson at 52 million US dollars, with an estimated 45 million US dollars in endorsements and other non-prize money income.

Elderly golf icon Arnold Palmer was third at 40 million US dollars, largely from licensing deals in Asia, followed by legend Jack Nicklaus at fourth at just over 26 million US dollars, Sweden's Henrik Stenson at fifth at 21.45 million US dollars and Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy at sixth with 20.6 million US dollars.

South African legend Gary Player was seventh at just over 16 million US dollars, followed by Scott in eighth on 15.65 million US dollars and South Africa's Ernie Els and retired Australian star Greg Norman completed the top 10, the report added.
