Netherlands goalkeeper Tim Krul has defended his antics during their penalty shootout victory over Costa Rica in the FIFA World Cup quarterfinal.
Krul, who plays for Newcastle United, came off the bench in the last minute of extra time and saved two spot-kicks to help his side win 4-3 on penalties after a 0-0 draw.
According to the BBC, Krul said that he talked to every Costa Rica player who was about to take a penalty in order to try to get in their heads.
Krul said that he does not think that he did anything wrong or crazy, adding that he did not shout in an aggressive manner.
The goalkeeper added that he told the Costa Rica players that he knew where they were going because he had analysed it and it worked.
