Tom Hanks has become attached to a Cold War thriller, which could be directed by Steven Spielberg.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 57-year-old actor is attached to star in an untitled Matt Charman penned Cold War project, which is being produced by Marc Platt.
The film script is based on the real life of James Donovan, an attorney who was thrust into the center of the Cold War after negotiating the release of downed U-2 spy plane pilot Gary Powers.
If Spielberg does indeed make this movie, it would mark the fourth feature film that the duo have done together after 'Saving Private Ryan, 'The Terminal' and 'Catch Me If You Can.
