Australian tennis player Bernard Tomic's former hitting partner Thomas Drouet has uncovered more about his father and coach John Tomic, including how he punched his son once after telling Drouet to sit aside.
According to news.com.au, Drouet expressed he never wanted to quit Team Tomic but after being headbutted and knocked out by John Tomic and effectively being called a liar in public over the assault he wanted the truth to come out.
Drouet said that Tomic senior was yelling most of the time and sometimes even made Bernard Tomic weep.
Tomic's hitting partner said that when he was attacked, he fell unconscious and in the hospital, he had pain in his central vertebrae that had him very worried.
The ATP, from attending future tournaments, has suspended John Tomic for at least a year, the report said.
However, Drouet also said that Tomic junior was not happy with the decision and that the ATP should protect his father, to which he reminded the player of what his father had done.
