Top Maoist leader's wife arrested in Guwahati

A woman Maoist leader and wife of recently arrested senior CPI(Maoist) leader Anukul Chandra Naskar alias 'Pareshda' has been arrested here.

Kabita Rabha was arrested by a team led by Superintendent of Police-Operations, Ranjan Bhuyan along with officials from the 175 CRPF battalion and army Gajraj intelligence from rented premises in Odalbakra area yesterday.

"Kabita Rabha was arrested from Odalbakra area of Guwahati by a team led by Superintendent of Police-Operations, Ranjan Bhuyan along with officials from the 175 CRPF battalion and Gajraj intelligence unit of the army," said Inspector General of Police (Central Western Range), L.R. Bishnoi.

" We have found several articles from her house including two computers, one hard disk, three pen drives, 15 CDs; two mobile phones have been recovered. In addition to this we have also found literature on Maoists," Bishnoi added.

Police and security forces also seized computers, mobile phones and literature.
