Disgraced Toronto Mayor Rob Ford might enter rehabilitation after being under tremendous pressure to resign since he admitted to smoking crack cocaine and having a drink problem, his lawyer said.
Dennis Morris said that the mayor was "considering options," the BBC reports.
His comments came a day after Ford apologized for a video of him that showed him making threats to commit 'first-degree murder' against an unknown person.
Apologizing to the residents of Toronto on Friday, Ford said that he will not step down as the mayor, but will work towards regaining the trust and confidence of the citizens.
The 44-year-old married father of two said he was extremely embarrassed by the incident.
His elder brother, Doug Ford, also told a radio broadcaster on Friday that his brother could benefit from "a little bit of counseling".
