Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly considering the name of Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager after holding talks with him.
Pochettino, who has been a front runner in the race to replace the sacked Tim Sherwood, had looked set to stay at Southampton and sign a new contract.
However, Metro.co.uk reports that Tottenham has been given permission to speak to the Argentine, and now expect to name him as their next coach.
Pochettino has reportedly held advanced negotiations over signing a four-year contract with Spurs, while chairman Daniel Levy is trying to agree a compensation figure with Southampton.
