Thousands of tourists are presently thronging the Solang Valley to explore adventure sports after Himachal Pradesh received good snowfall this winter season. Trekking, skiing, paragliding, rafting, among other winter sports, are attracting tourists.
Himachal Pradesh, which has turned into a paradise for skiers, is attracting snow sports lovers from across the country, including trekking, skiing, paragliding and rafting.
The snow-covered hill resort at Solang has always been the preferred holiday destination for domestic as well as foreign tourists for ice games.
Tourists were seen in high spirits, riding yaks and playing with snow.
A tourist, Pooja Jain, said her family had visited the Solang Valley earlier to enjoy the combination of scenery and sports.
"This is the fourth time we have come here. The rides are very good and enjoyable. My son has gone for paragliding. The scenery is also very beautiful," said Jain.

Another tourist, Aritra Dutta, said that the northern Himalayan region is a destination for adventure winter sports.
"This is my first time experience and it is really good. This has been an excellent experience," said Dutta.
During winters, revelers from the plains and other parts prefer to throng states of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir to experience snowfall and winter games.
