While creativity soars in the blood of many Indians, here is a unique talent that outshines the rest with her zeal for fantasy and spacial designs.
Neharika Sadotra is a visionary designer who recently concluded 'Wonderflip', India's first immersive performing arts and music festival held in Udaipur, Rajasthan.
The official stage designer for the event, Neharika left the audience awe-struck by creating a large 60 x 60 feet, six-leg truss structure that was suspended at a height of 36 feet over the dance floor. Each leg of the truss was fitted with a 2-foot high riser stage around it which enabled the performers to climb onto the truss and perform aerial feats above the audience.
Adding more accolades to her kitty, Neharika has been a part of large scale projects like Vir Das Netflix Special, Bollywood Music Project and concerts like that of our singing maestro Arijit Singh.
A great fan of fiction and conspiracy theories, Neharika believes that stage designing is an isolated profession, recognised by only a few in India. However, she hopes that with events like 'Wonderflip', there will be larger scope for designers to showcase their talent at a grand scale.
The designer strongly believes that experiences can greatly impact a person's choices, mindset and beliefs, and she is determined to achieve the same with her out-of-the-box designs.
