Tripura has extended financial assistance to thousands of people affected by floods and landslides in Uttarakhand.

Tripura's Chief Minister Manik Sarkar announced a contribution of Rs. 1 crore to the Uttarakhand Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
He also appealed to the people of Tripura to contribute for the victims.
"The natural disaster that took place in Uttarakhand is undesirable and beyond imagination. At such a critical time, it's the moral responsibility of the people of our nation to stand by them," Sarkar said.
Meanwhile, Jorhat's Pralad Somani is waiting to know the whereabouts of his family members.

His entire family, including his mother and three sisters, had left for a pilgrimage to Kedarnath on June 4.
"There is no news of my mother, 2 sisters and a brother-in-law. Since 16th June, there is no trace of them," Somani said.
In times of crisis like this, where thousands of lives are at stake, sincere attempts are being made to minimize the loss and the nation is united in its support for those affected.
