Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump claimed victory in both the Michigan and Mississippi primaries last night.

Celebrating his two wins, Trump mocked the established Republicans who have been critical on him, including negative advertising.

"So many horrible things said about me in one week. Thirty-eight million dollars' worth of lies, it shows you how good the public is that they see these as lies," Guardian quoted Trump as saying at a press conference in Florida.

In the polls, Ohio governor John Kasich came in second in Michigan, trailing by 14 points and with just 7 percent vote Marco Rubio came fourth.

While in Mississippi, Ted Cruz came in second, trailing by a similar margin.
