A relative of the 38-year old man who died in a road rage incident in Delhi's Turkman Gate area, on Tuesday demanded punishment for the police officials who were involved in the incident.
"The police officials who were involved in this incident, they should be punished," the victim's maternal uncle told ANI here.
"Before the death of his father, the child had dialed 100 for calling the police, we have the timing of the call and the time when the police arrived. The police came an hour later when the person had died," he added.
The relative alleged that the accused were mafia and running a disputed buildings racket in the Old Delhi area and in other parts of the city.
"I would like to ask the ministers, at the time of elections why do you shake hands with mafias and not the normal people," the victim's uncle further added.
Shahnawaz was returning home on his motorcycle along with his two children on Sunday, when he was beaten to death after a minor accident in Turkman Gate area.

He was taken to LNJP hospital following the incident but was declared brought dead.
After the incident, locals in the area protested against the police alleging inaction in the case.
Police Commissioner B.S. Bassi, however, had assured that all those involved in the road rage incident will be brought to justice. One person involved in the incident has been arrested while four others are absconding.
