Scottish TV presenter Lorraine Kelly visited New Delhi and claimed to discover a city that is more European than Indian, with boulevards, parkland and colonial architecture.
Kelly said that she had a glorious and magical week, as she stood in awe before the world's most romantic building, Taj Mahal, seen a goddess in the flesh, Nepal's Kumari Devi, and flown so close to Everest that she felt as though she could reach out and touch it, the Mirror reported.
She claimed to have first fallen in love with India during a visit to Mumbai which was made a few years ago, then returned to see tigers in the wild in Madhya Pradesh and yomp in the Coorg mountains.
