At least 22 Taliban insurgents have been killed and around 30 injured in a drone strike conducted by the US forces in Afghanistan's northern Kunduz province.
According to local officials, the shadow governor of the Taliban has also lost his life in the attacks, reports the Khaama Press.
Provincial Police chief General Mohammad Qasim Jangalbagh said the Afghan security forces also suffered casualties during the clashes, with at least two of them losing their lives and six others being wounded.
He added that the clashes took place in Khanabad and Chardara districts of Kunduz province.
So far, the Taliban militants have not made any comments regarding the report.
