The Delhi Police have arrested two men for assaulting a youth, Brilliant Horam, from Manipur in the Burari area of the national capital, with the search for the third accused still on.
"On Saturday, Horam went out to buy stationery from a local shop. While he was returning home, some men chewing paan spat on him. When he objected, they attacked and injured him. He received many stitches on his head," Tangkhul Katamnao Long president John Zimik told ANI.
"We immediately filed an FIR and two of the accused have already been arrested. They will be produced before the Tis Hazari Court today. This is the first time such an incident has taken place in the area. We demand that DCP (North Delhi) Madhur Verma immediately arrest the third accused," he added.
Further details are awaited. This incident takes place days after two Mizo youths were thrashed by street food vendors in Bengaluru.
