At least two people from Jabowal village were injured in firing by the Pakistani troops near Arnia sector in Jammu on Sunday.
The incident took place at around 4 am when mortar shells fired by the Pakistani troops landed on a house and an adjoining stable injuring the cattles.
The injured were rushed to the Government Primary Health Centre in Arnia.
"The firing was going on throughout the night but after 4 pm the shells started hitting our homes. At first one shell landed on a stable and injured the cattle. Later three shells exploded near a house and a person got injured. I was nearby and also got injured," said Somnath, a resident of Jabowal village.
Pakistani troops had resumed firing on Saturday at Indian border outposts along the LoC after two days of silence. Since then Pakistan has been firing at civilian areas in Shahpur, Kirni, Banwat, Mandaar, Kalsaam, Doda along the LoC in Poonch sector.
