Two men arrested in Sydney over alleged terror plot linked with IS

At least two men have been arrested in the western Sydney suburb of Fairfield in anti-terror raids by police over an alleged terror plot linked with Islamic State (IS).

According to News.com.au, raids were carried out by NSW Police and Australian Federal Police at a house in Fairfield.

Police confirmed that a hunting knife, a machete, a flag representing IS and a video showing a man talking about launching a terror attack, were seized in the raid.

Deputy commissioner Burn said that the men were in full swing with their preparations and "consistent with IS messages".

Police also said that the potential attack was "imminent yesterday".
