Two Saudi women's rights activists freed from prison after two months in jail

Saudi Arabia has reportedly freed two Saudi women's rights activist after more than two months in jail.

According to Gulf News, a campaigner confirmed that Loujain Hathloul, who was imprisoned for defying a ban on female driving, had been released.

The unnamed activist, who spoke to Loujain, said that she was happy post her release.

The report said that Maysaa Alamoudi, detained at the same time as Loujain, has also been let out of jail, her family confirmed, according to the activist.
