Two leaders of the Maoist guerilla group, Shining Path, have been arrested by the Peruvian Government.
According to the BBC, the detained were brought to Lima by air from an isolated valley in the Amazon region.
The Peruvian Army had been operating in the Shining Path heartland, a corner of the Peruvian Amazon.
Shining Path was largely dismantled after the capture of its chief, Abimael Guzman, in 1992.
Government estimates say there are still some 350 members of Shining Path left.
