Former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and senior advocate H.S. Phoolka on Sunday demanded an enquiry into the attack on Congress leader Jagdish Tytler at a function in South Delhi last night.
"There should be enquiry on how the youth reached him despite having jet security. There should be a thorough enquiry on whether this incident was genuine or he did this to create sympathy," Phoolka told ANI.
Tytler, who is also an accused in a 1984 anti-Sikh riots case, was allegedly abused and manhandled at a function in Delhi last night.
He was attending a wedding in South Delhi when a man, identified as 23-year-old Sehaj Umang Singh Bhatia, verbally abused him and then allegedly flung a glass at him.
The youth, who was detained after the incident, has been granted bail by a special executive magistrate.
