A UK Royal Marine has been convicted of murder and faces a life term for the "battlefield execution" of an injured Afghan insurgent.
The sergeant, identified only as A, was convicted at court martial after a harrowing video of the killing was found on a comrade's laptop, the BBC reports.
According to the report, two other Marines, named B and C, who have been alleged of being "party to the killing" were acquitted by the Military Court Centre in Bulford, Wiltshire.
Marine A will be sentenced on 6 December, the report added.
The video captured by Marine B on his helmet-mounted camera showed Marine A shooting the Afghan prisoner with a 9mm pistol, while other two marines passed on lewd comments and instigated Marine A.
