A United Nations panel has identified war criminals in Syria.
The panel is responsible for investigating human rights abuses in Syria and identified those responsible for the crimes.
According to news24, Brazilian diplomat Paulo Sergio Pinheiro said the 'perpetrators list' includes the heads of intelligence branches and detention facilities where torture occurs and military commanders who target civilians.
He added that others responsible for the crimes include officials overseeing airports from where barrel bomb attacks are planned and executed; and leaders of armed groups involved in attacking civilians.
Pinheiro said the panel is also investigating allegations of mass graves in northern Syria where fighters with the al-Qaeda-linked Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant had 'conducted mass executions of detainees,' the report added.
