Chemical weapons have been used in the Syrian conflict, United Nations inspectors have said.
The UN chemical weapons experts said that the weapons were definitely used in August 21 attack near Damascus and probably in four other locations between March and late August.
According to Fox News, the report by the experts led by Swedish professor Ake Sellstrom did not establish whether the government or opposition were responsible for the alleged attacks.
Sellstrom issued an initial report on September 16 that concluded evidence collected in the Ghouta area of Damascus after attack on August 21 provided 'clear and convincing evidence that surface-to-surface rockets containing the nerve agent sarin were used'.
The recent report said evidence indicated chemical weapons were also probably used in Khan al Assal, Jobar, Saraqueb and Ashrafiah Sahnaya, the report added.
