The Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh visited the National Security Guard (NSG) headquarters here today.
After paying homage to the martyrs of National Security Guard by laying wreath at the Martyrs' Memorial in Manesar Garrison, Home Minister was briefed on the various aspects and issues pertaining to the Force by J N Choudhury, Director General, and other senior officers of National Security Guard.
The Home Minister also addressed the senior officers and assured to look into the issues raised by the Force.
The Home Minister inaugurated the Diving Training Tank, a state of art training facility, which has been developed to train the Commandos in under-water operations. He also witnessed a demonstration on various skills of NSG Commandos.
Rajnath Singh complimented the National Security Guard for the role that NSG has played as the elite Federal Counter Terrorist Force of the Nation.
The Home Minister said, 'Visiting NSG gave me an opportunity to meet Officers and Jawans and also to witness the demonstration of their skills. I am thrilled. NSG as an organization instils a sense of security and confidence in the minds of the countrymen. We are proud of this Organisation. I wish the Force all the very best".
