After the Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan suspended six Congress MPs for five days citing unruly behavior, she was emphatic is saying that this kind of behavior by any member of Parliament would not be accepted or tolerated.

Speaking to reporters here, Sumitra Mahajna said, "This unruly behavior will not be accepted by any member of the Parliament. I had warned them three times not to make noise or throw papers but despite my warning, they created ruckus and behaved in an unruly manner. The scene was similar to a college classroom where kids throw papers at each other. If these ministers act and behave like them then no sooner we will have to suspend all every time or take strict action".

Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge said suspending Congress leaders and others would not result in the issue being brushed under the carpet, but would rather make the opposition more aggressive.

"This is very unfortunate what has happened today. Suspending Congress leaders will not make the issue silent. On the one hand, the government advises to have the freedom of speech, and if we revolt, then we are suspended for the right reason. We have always seen whenever the Congress speaks for the country they are stopped."

Resonating similar views, another Congress leader Ranjeet Ranjan said BJP has always been corrupt in ways and practice.

"Backward class and minorities are currently scared of lynching that is happening in the country. We are fighting for the people even Prime Minister Narendra Modi also said that the government is not with the fake Gaurakshak- Whichever state BJP rules lynching is occurring there. BJP has always been corrupt in ways and practice. And when we stand up for the justice we are suspended".
