The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) youth wing members on Tuesday staged a protest against the leak of question papers of Uttar Pradesh Provincial Civil Services (UPPCS) examination in Allahabad.
The protestors were seen shouting slogans demanding the suspension of UPPCS chairman Anil Yadav.
According to reports, the police had to resort to baton charge to prevent the protestors from locking the gates of UPPCS office in Allahabad.
"Some BJP workers had come to UPPCS to give a notification addressed to UP Governor regarding paper leak. After they left some youths stayed back and started shouting slogans...they were not able to lock the gate, they wanted to sit on a dharna, but were not allowed," said SK Sharma, one of the eye witness.
Last week, the Uttar Pradesh government has cancelled the first paper of the UPPCS 2015 preliminary examinations after the exam paper was leaked on WhatsApp messaging service just before the start of the examination.
The government has rescheduled the exam but the students have been protesting across the state ever since the paper leak.
