The Rajya Sabha on Tuesday witnessed an uproar over the issue of the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examinations.
Chaos prevailed in the Upper House on the issue of CSAT as soon as the House met for business today.
Chairman Mohammad Hamid Ansari was forced to adjourn the House till noon amid the uproar.
Samajwadi Party leaders Naresh Agarwal earlier today said that his party won't let Parliament function until the CSAT issue is solved.
"We will give notice to the parliament regarding this issue and we will not let the parliament function until CSAT is scrapped off entirely from the IAS examination," he said.
He also added that preference must be given to Hindi and regional languages.
