At least eight Afghan soldiers have been killed in a United States airstrike in southern Kabul in Logar province on an army checkpoint, according to Afghan officials.
According to BBC, the Afghan officials said that several troops were injured after two US helicopters attacked the checkpoint in broad daylight.
The checkpoint was clearly flying an Afghan flag, the army commander said.
Logar is a disturbed area where most of the countryside lies in the hands of the Taliban.
