Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs Alice Wells will on Tuesday travel to Delhi on a four-day visit, from April 3 to 6.
The US Diplomat will co-lead the US delegation with Acting Assistant Secretary for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Susan Thornton at the U.S.-India-Japan Trilateral Dialogue on Wednesday.
Wells will participate in the India-U.S. Forum, hosted by the Ananta Centre and the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Friday.
During the visit, she will also meet with senior Indian government officials to discuss regional and global issues and meet with representatives from the private sector.
Meanwhile senior official of US Department of State Wells called on Pakistan Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday, reported Geo TV.
According to the statement issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) the two sides discussed regional security and matters of mutual interest at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
