At least six militants have been killed in a U.S. drone strike in the remote Shawal Valley in the North Waziristan tribal region, sources said.
They added that the drone fired two missiles in a compound in the valley close to the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, killing six militants. Most of those killed were foreigners, reported the Dawn.
Sources said that the number of casualties was set to increase.
Dattakhel and Shawal are the two major areas which are being targeted by the military as the area is infested with local and foreign militants, who fled Operation Zarb-i-Azb in North Waziristan.
