The United States has reportedly made their entry into FIFA's top 20 rankings for the first time in more than two years after winning last month's CONCACAF Gold Cup.

According to the New York Daily News, US replaced No.20 ranked Mexico as CONCACAF's highest placed team for the first time since 2011 and rose three places up in the FIFA rankings to No. 19, the same spot it reached in March 2011.

The report further said that Germany is at No.2 in the rankings, followed by Columbia at No.3 and Spain in an unchanged No.10, adding that Confederations Cup winner Brazil remains at No. 9.

According to the report, Brazil cannot play qualifying matches that earn ranking points, as it is the host nation for next year's Football World Cup.

Meanwhile, Japan leads Asian countries at No.37 in the rankings while Ivory Coast is still Africa's highest-ranked team, though it dropped five places to No. 18.
